Architectural perspectives at the Mubag

The Gravina Museum of Fine Art (Mubag) in Alicante is offering you the chance to enjoy Architectural Perspectives of the IVAM Collection until January 11th. This exhibition looks at different ways of representing architecture as an object and as a sign through the work of a representative sample of photographers, sculptors and painters from the modern age. The exhibition includes 68 photographs, nine paintings, nine sculptures and three installation pieces.

The exhibition clearly shows how art has contributed to the development of innovative perspectives on architecture and the awakening of new sensibilities in our perception of the boundless shades of colour in the spectrum of a building. A building is much more than a series of volumes built for protection; inside, it not only houses people but also their belongings, their memories, their experiences and their plans for the future.
