Autumn symphonies at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía

Valencia's Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía continues to offer audiences first-rate productions. The themed programme running until November 27th is entitled Verdi and Schiller. Lo romántico in honour of his relationship with the German genius and the fascination Giuseppe Verdi always felt for him and his work, even turning to his creations on several occasions as a source of inspiration.

On November 19th, the soprano Amparo Navarro, the tenor Javier Agulló and the pianist Amparo Pous will be performing the recital Alrededor de Verdi in the Great Hall of the Palau de les Arts, as part of the Voces Valencianas season, which will feature artists from the Comunitat Valenciana.

The performances continue with the opera Luisa Miller on November 20th, 23rd and 27th in the Main Hall. This tragic three act melodrama tells the story of a distrusting father who attends the engagement of his daughter, Luisa Miller, to a handsome young man. In between performances of this opera, the programme also recovers one of Schiller's plays, Kabale und Liebe (intrigue and love), a series of dramatised readings that will take place on November 21st, 24th, 25th and 26th.
