Callosa d'En Sarrià pays tribute to the Virgen de las Injurias

Starting next weekend, Callosa d'En Sarrià will be honouring its patron saint, the Virgen de las Injurias, also known as the Virgen del Remedio. With the arrival of October, this town in the province of Alicante will deploy all its artillery at the Moors and Christians celebrations held in honour of the Virgen de las Injurias, declared to be of National Tourist Interest, from October 11th to 14th. 

In accordance with tradition, at 12 o'clock midday on Saturday 11th October, the l'Arrancà de dolçaines y tabalets will announce the most eagerly anticipated moment among locals and visitors alike, the start of the town's patron saint festivities. Until October 14th, Callosa d'En Sarrià will be transformed into a great stage on which Moorish and Christian dances, parades, embassies and liturgical acts will be firmly in the spotlight.
