Films with a Mediterranean flavour at the Mostra

From October 14th to 22nd, the Mostra de Valencia Mediterranean Film Festival celebrates its 29th edition with some of the best films produced in Mediterranean countries, showing at the ABC Park cinema in Valencia. The Mostra, as a meeting point for Mediterranean cinema, offers you the chance to see a number of films that are not usually shown in commercial cinemas.

The official section, the most important and representative section of the Festival, includes a total of 12 films this year competing to win the Golden Palm. The films are chosen according to their quality and their capacity to portray the idiosyncrasies of their country of origin.

In 2008, the Mostra de Valencia will be paying tribute to Jorge Sanz and Terele Pávez, renowned actors in the Spanish film industry, and the director Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón. Tribute will also be paid to James Stewart to celebrate the centenary of his birth and the recently deceased Paul Newman. Like every year, the festival will also include the Mostreta cycle for the youngest members of the family.
