The world´s top golfers will be at the Comunitat Valenciana Masters-Castelló Costa Azahar

From 23rd to 26th October, the Club de Campo Mediterráneo in Borriol Golf Club will be hosting one of the most important golfing tournaments of the year: the Comunitat Valenciana Masters-Castelló Costa Azahar.
This new sporting event is part of the European Circuit of the PGA - the oldest Professional Golfers´ Association in the world - where the top professionals from the five continents, including Valencia's two big golfing stars, Sergio García and José Manuel Lara, will show off their golf swing.
The Comunitat Valenciana Masters-Castelló Costa Azahar has sparked a great deal of interest among golf fans given the strategic date of the tournament, just at the end of the season, one week from the PGA European Circuit final, so nerves will be stretched to breaking point.
The players will have to give it all they´ve got over 72 holes, played by the stroke play model; 114 players will start the game, and after 36 holes the top 65 players will make the cut for the next round.
The enthusiasm surrounding this tournament is also due to the numerous activities held before and during the competition, such as the Pro-Am Preliminaries which will take place on the Wednesday before, as a little foretaste for the main event. There will also be a Hospitality Tent and a Village, which will be the nerve centre of the championship.
The tournament will also boost tourism in the province of Castellón, and will become the centre of attention for major tourist markets such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Scandinavia. In fact, the tournament will receive over 600 hours' TV coverage on Europe´s leading TV stations, beaming images of the competition into to over 550 million homes.
