International Jazz in Peñíscola

From 4th to 25th July, Peñíscola becomes the home of jazz. The sea breeze brings to the Costa de Azahar the best performers of this musical genre, which originated in the United States.

All the performances will take place at a wonderful venue, the Peñíscola Exhibition Centre (Palau de Congressos). The building will be hosting eight concerts in total: Jazz Street Marching Band, The Music of Ivan Lins, Eric Alexander Quartet, Metro Special Edition, Biel Ballester Trio and Randy Creer, Kansas City Memories, Paul Evans Quartet and Diana Krall.

The Peñíscola International Jazz Festival kicks off next Friday with the Jazz Street Marching Band, a group of seven musicians from Castellón with an extensive musical career under their belt. They will be performing on the terrace of the Palau de Congressos at 11.00 pm.

At the same time the following day, this emblematic venue will be tapping its toes to The Music of Ivans Lins. The Brazilian composer and musician will be delighting audiences with his unique musical project.

One of the most eagerly anticipated moments for jazz fans will be the concert given by composer, singer and pianist Diana Krall on 25th July at 10.30 pm.
