L'Alfàs del Pi, twenty years of cinema by the sea

The l'Alfàs del Pi Film Festival is celebrating its 20th anniversary. From 4th to 13th July, there will be an extensive programme of artistic activities to celebrate two decades of faithful service to the seventh art.
In total, 75 films will be shown in the different sections: Contemporary Cinema, Tributes, Spanish Cinema, Cinema by the Sea, Documentary Cinema and Foreign Language Cinema, as well as a short film competition.
The l'Alfàs del Pi Cultural Centre will be hosting the presentation of the Silver Lighthouse, a prestigious accolade received every year by eminent actresses, actors and directors from the international cinema scene. On Friday 4th July at 10.45 pm., Sara Montiel and Juan Echanove will be receiving this award as a tribute to their professional careers. The evening's entertainment will also feature performances by Ana Belén and Víctor Manuel.
As part of the 20th l'Alfàs del Pi Film Festival, there will also be exhibitions, forums, roundtable discussions, debates, and of course, a fair few films will be shown, such as No Country for Old Men, Elegy and Casual Day.
Tickets for film showings and the opening gala ceremony can be bought in advance at the Cultural Centre (Casa de Cultura) from 7.00 pm. to 10.00 pm., and during the Festival, half an hour before each showing.
