INTOURISME Project
The project known as the SERVIDOR TURÍSTICO DE LA COMUNIDAD VALENCIANA (Region of Valencia Tourist Industry Server) is a venture of the Agència Valenciana del Turisme co-financed by the European Union General Directive XVI, whose aims include its integration into the European InTouriSME project designed to enable European tourist products to be marketed and sold on the internet.
This idea originated within the framework of the European Commission's PMETOUR programme and aims to promote the development of the most underprivileged regions of Europe where tourism is of prime importance.
The InTouriSME project has also been implemented in sixteen other autonomous regions of Spain: Andalusia, Aragon, Asturias, the Balearics, the Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla-Leon, Catalonia, Extremadura, Galicia, Madrid, Murcia, Navarre, the Basque Country and the Rioja.
The different projects encompassed by InTouriSME are coordinated by the consortium of companies and institutes led by IBIT (the Balearic Institute of New Technologies).
