Built on the remains of a mosque, this temple is an example of late Renaissance and early non-ornate Baroque. Outstanding in the interior are the dome and the "Comunión" chapel, considered to be one of the most beautiful examples of high Spanish Baroque, as are also the representations of the saints set above their respective altars.
