Sailors pay homage to their Patron Saint on the 16th of June, when a beautiful maritime procession takes place in which the image of the virgin is taken by boat into Altea’s bay, on a sea covered with flowers. The releasing of ducks and the “misa de campaña” (Mass) in the esplanade complete the celebration.
