Festividad de San Felipe Neri is a wonderful time of the year to visit Crevillent, a lovely town with plenty to see and do. Put the dates in your diary.

Crevillent is a destination that is always worth a visit, and all the more so when it is hosting one of its countless festivals. The pretty historic centre, which revolves around Nuestra Señora de Belén church, bears testament to vibrant, traditional and at times solemn festivities several times a year. Festividad de San Felipe Neri, held in late May, is one of these occasions and sees the locals take to the streets to have a great time.

During the festival, you can be captivated by dances, watch decorated cart parades and take part in “de sobaquillo” dinners, community meals that are something of a tradition in the Region in Valencia. And then, of course, you can marvel at the parades and see the pregón, the opening ceremony.

The village of San Felipe Neri had its own council until the 19th century, and it is now part of Crevillent. This festivity is the perfect excuse to come and visit the destination and explore everything it has to offer, such as Sierra de Crevillent, a mountainscape where you can do some incredible hiking.
