Guided tour of the El Tendre olive mill facilities explaining its operation. Afterwards, we will visit the Olive Oil Museum with a tasting of olive oil accompanied by local products from Ilicia. Then, free time will be available for shopping.Subject to a minimum of 10 people. The production of olive mill oil begins with the collection of the olives, which are stored in a large tank or silo before their grinding. Then, they are sent to the mill, where they are crushed and left to rest for about two hours to extract their juice. The liquid obtained is allowed to rest in settling tanks, thus separating the oil from the pomace . The olive oil is stored in stainless steel tanks until the moment of filtering, which removes any solid particles that may have remained in suspension, in sediment or sludge. In this way, the oil preserves all its nutritional and antioxidant properties intact. Currently, our maximum production capacity is 15,000 kilograms of olives per hour and 1,500 bottles per hour in packaging. All of this results in an approximate annual production of one million liters.
