On carnival Tuesday there is a celebrated procession called the “Cuarenta horas”, which is unique throughout Spain, and has been celebrated annually since 1897 as a privilege granted as a result of an epidemic.

The most typical event of the day is the afternoon snack of the "Coca de manteca", as a prelude to the arrival of Lent. However, fancy dress parades also take place in the municipality.
