The fiesta is aimed at children who are ‘tricked' into believing that they are going on a journey (a fictitious excursion) to a neighbouring town called Agost, when in reality we are talking about the symbolism of the change in month from July to August. Nonetheless, after travelling round the town picking up the children from their homes along the way, while reciting and singing Ens anem a Agost, agost se'n anem (We're going to August, to August we are going) accompanied by the musical instruments the dolçaina i tabalet, the little ones finally enter into the month of August. At the end of their trip around the town they receive sweets. Watermelon is also offered to all those who participate.
