The Ermita de Nuestra Señora de Montserrat (Chapel of Our Lady of Montserrat) is situated in the quarter of the same name. Around the 16th century this Virgin Mary began to be worshiped which quickly spread amongst the inhabitants of the town. Maria de Molina, the widow of Fenellós, the Lord of Benellup, reconstructed the Chapel in order to create a monasterial foundation, which at the end of the day was not authorised by the Archbishop of Valencia, what was authorised was for it to be constructed as a convent. This ended in ruins, which is how it is currently to be seen. Panoramic views outwith.
