Since 1983, the Municipal Aquarium of Santa Pola has used it's facilities to show part of the fauna of the Mediterranean Sea and it is an important and interesting educative tool, which allows us to see the depths of the sea with an aim to entertain, inform and make the visitor aware about the need for it's conservation.

It has an area of 707m² divided into 9 large aquariums that display the flora and fauna of the Mediterranean Sea including turtles, groupers, morays, sea-bass, etc.
