Live Feslalí, Festival Alcalalí in Bloom
Live Feslalí, Festival Alcalalí in Bloom
Every February there is a corner of the Region of Valencia that blooms and fills with aromas, a corner full of life and traditions that can be enjoyed in winter: Alcalalí.
In the heart of the Vall del Pop, we find the town of Alcalalí, which changes its tonalities during this month, covering itself with a white and pink mantle with the flowering of its almond groves.
This show is celebrated in the town by dedicating a festival called Feslalí "Alcalalí in bloom" where you can enjoy both the almond trees in bloom and its star product: the almond.
How to get to Alcalalí
Alcalalí is north of the province of Alicante, less than 30km from the coast. It is located in the Vall del Pop, a valley linked to the Xaló river that crosses the terms of Benigembla, Murla, Parcent, and Alcalalí, and opening the valley towards the coast we find Xaló, Llíber, Senija and Benissa.
This valley is full of contrasts, with impressive mountain ranges such as the Cavall Verd, the Serra del Penyal de Laguar, the Carrascar and the Coll de Rates, the Castell de la Solana or Muntanya Gran, the Ferrer or Bèrnia or sinuous ravines like the one in Malafí , the Murta, Masserof or Passula.
To access Alcalalí by car, several options:
- If you are travelling on the AP-7 motorway between Valencia and Alicante, take exit 62.
- In case of driving on the N-332 national road, you have to turn off towards Pedreguer / Alcalalí at the height of the town of Ondara.
- You can also arrive from Benissa taking the CV-745 and then the CV-750.
If you want to arrive by public transport you can take a train or bus:
