Fairs and weekly markets
The so-called "Monday Market" is a market with a lot of tradition in the city. It is a large street market held every Monday in the fairgrounds. There you can find practically everything, from fruits and homegrown vegetables to branded clothing and footwear at factory prices. Vendors and buyers throughout the province and part of the community, come on Monday to Castellón.
In the Maritime District of Grao in Castellón, the weekly street market is held on Fridays, and it takes place in the streets of the urban centre. Although much smaller than the Monday market, it concentrates a large number of vendor and visitor stalls.
Special mention deserves the so-called Feria de la Naranja established a few years ago and held every Sunday morning from October to May. In this market only one product is offered, the orange, typical of the area and sold directly from the farmer to the consumer, a magnificent opportunity to acquire this excellent product. The market is divided into different squares in the city of Castellón: Pintor Porcar, María Agustina, Fadrell, and Na Violant.
