Tapas in Torrevieja
Torrevieja is an ideal place for tapas. This year, the Asociación de Empresarios de Hostelería de Torrevieja y Comarca, decided to endorse the third version of "Nos Vamos de Tapas," to turn the municipality into an excellent place for culinary travel.
In 2018, the event "Nos Vamos de Tapas" has two stages. The first one towards the end of April, and the second one towards the end of November. In this article, you will learn some exciting places to go out for tapas in Torrevieja and discover the local gastronomy.
Bar Tapería Los Zamoranos
Located on Paseo de la Libertad 5, this bar is one of the most traditional local places in the municipality. The bar has an excellent presentation and a large distribution of spaces. You can eat in the outside area of the bar, next to the street.
Among its most significant tapas is "La Carrilera" a red wine stew or "La Ibérica," presented as a potato filled with gratin brie cheese. If you want to continue savouring, dare to ask for "The trio" which is a Marinero with black aioli.
Bar Trinquete
This bar is located at Avenida Diego Ramírez 157. A reasonably simple place decorated with all the comfort so that you can enjoy the different flavours of their tapas intensely. You can order tapas like the "octopus with garlic sauce." There is a lot to choose from, a glass of good wine will clear your mind.
Tasca Bahía
Tasca Bahía is an exquisite and modern bar restaurant, although all the traditional elements of the culture are present in its decoration generating a very local and close climate. Regarding dishes, it has a lot to offer, being one of the most recommended "Pepper and chorizo stew".
Another favourite is the "Greek Salad." But if there is a tapa that is provocative and exquisite, as well as suggestive by its very name, it is the "Bocadillo de la Muerte", whose flavours are intense and original.
La Freiduria
To get to this restaurant, you have to stop by C / Benejúzar 4D. It is a new establishment, that plays in its presentation with white and blue colours, a symbol of the marine essence.
In the Freiduria you can eat tapas such as "Squid stuffed to surprise," the "Secret to the flower" and the "Crunchy Iberian ham shot." The flavours that the restaurant has to offer are intense and diverse, naturally counting on their own tapas recipes.
The Piscolabis
Located in Ramón y Cajal Street 1. Here you will find a very fascinating and modern site. You can sit down to eat in the outside area, next to the street to enjoy the breeze and the calm of the day, or, choose a table inside. The feeling of tranquillity is total since it has large windows that add lighting.
One of the most provocative tapas in El Piscolabis is the "curry chicken skewer with pineapple." Meanwhile, other fascinating dishes on the menu are the "Tasta huertana" and the "Almost Moussaka."
El Puerto Restaurant
It is located in Paseo Vista Alegre 3 and stands out as an establishment endowed with very original dishes. For example, one of the most recognised is the "Anguilla with red fruit vinaigrette and Iberian powder"; You can also try the "Salmon one thousand leaves cake with mozzarella tartar sauce", or, the "Bull tail croquette with violets mayonnaise."
Last but not least, to have a genuine gastronomic experience try the wines of the Region of Valencia.
