No plans for the kings of the house? Do you think you always do the same with them? Enjoy an entertaining day with children in the Comunitat Valenciana museums.

Discover stories of old pirates and new technologies, learn the process of making chocolate or nougat, it is even possible to travel in time and learn more about dinosaurs or walk through a fascinating world of puppets and toys. Sounds good, right? Ready for a fascinating trip? Here we go! We start our fantastic list with two proposals that will help you fight boredom in the city of Valencia.

L'Iber, Museo de los Soldaditos de Plomo. Possibly one of the most original museums of the capital and the largest of historical miniatures in the world. In there, significant scenes of history are recreated to surprise young and old alike.

The best option to have a great time while learning is in the Museo de las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe located in the magnificent complex of the City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia where you can also enjoy other facilities such as the Oceanographic or the Umbracle. A family activity in the capital! The museum offers incredible and unforgettable exhibitions for children who will learn in an educationally fun way the evolution of life, science, and technology.

The rest of the province has an exciting offer of entertainment such as the Museo Internacional de Marionetas located in the Palace of the Marquises of Albaida in a beautiful fifteenth-century building. The youngest will learn about the main puppeteering traditions in the world through an exquisite collection of more than 400 pieces. Surely they will be excited to recognise movie and television characters!

The town of Sueca invites you to a delicious journey in the Museo del Chocolate Comes. Perfect for family, where young and old will learn about the virtues of chocolate and its manufacturing process.

The beaches of Cullera were once witnesses of pirate stories that return to our days in the fascinating Cueva-Museo del Pirata Dragut. In addition to the exhibitions on the figure of the famous character and his time, you will find light and sound shows that will captivate the little ones.

The city of Alicante also boasts museums where the little ones will enjoy both science and traditions; a clear example is the Museo de los Belenes located in an ancient house in the old town where Christmas figures arise the curiosity of young and old.

The Museo del Agua is another exciting option in Alicante. A walk through emblematic fountains of the city complements the visit to the museum. Children learn to value the essential element while they learn the process of bottling water. An enriching and unforgettable experience!

It is essential to travel to the towns of Xixona and Ibi in Alicante, where there are two unique museums. The Turrón Museum proposes a fun activity for the kids since it shows them the process of making the Christmas sweet that has made the town famous all over the world. The village of Ibi has the magical Museo Valenciano del Juguete. Can there be a better place for them? Created in 1990, the museum is currently headquartered in the first Ibi toy factory located in Glorieta Nicolás Payá Jover, 1. Kids will never want to leave.

Finally, we move to Morella, in the Castellón province, to visit the Museo Temps de Dinosaurs, an exciting journey to the centre of the Earth where young and old will discover the world of geology and palaeontology.

Surely we have awakened your curiosity and that of your children with this list of the most amusing museums in the Comunitat Valenciana. Do you dare to visit them?
