If you come to the Comunitat Valenciana in summer, you will find 524 kilometres of coastline, where you can enjoy tiny coves between cliffs and huge beaches with all the services: lifeguards, showers, umbrellas, equipped with games, Wi-Fi, and libraries with books for all ages. A multitude of aqua parks will delight children and adults ready to enjoy the water and pleasant Mediterranean weather.
Boat trips and excursions
The Comunitat Valenciana is not only a mooring point for large boats filled with cruisers. You can also make day boat trips to visit our islands, such as the Columbretes Islands, the Marine Reserve and Natural Park, or the Tabarca island. It is the smallest inhabited island in the Mediterranean, surrounded by oceanic Posidonia meadows in the middle of the Marine Reserve. Glass-bottom catamarans are available for excursions which will delight old and young alike. You can also enjoy pleasant river walks. From a river cruise through the Júcary kayak routes, to the longest navigable underground river in Europe at La Vall d'Uxó, passing by the idyllic boat trips through the Albufera de Valencia, where the finale may be a taste of any of the local rice specialities.
Bike rides and routes
For those who love cycling, the Comunitat Valenciana has kilometres of bike paths to cross, as well as charming Greenways, such as the Vía Verde del Mar, which runs between Oropesa del Mar and Benicàssim. There is also the Ojos Negros Greenway, the longest in the Peninsula. In addition to the beautiful Paseo del Turia in the capital of Valencia, where you can rent in addition to bicycles, family pedal vehicles at the Parque de Cabecera or Gulliver Park where the whole family can enjoy as children.
All types of parks
If you like nature in the Comunitat Valenciana, there are Natural Parks of all kinds. For mountain lovers, the Peñagolosa Natural Park, where you can explore trails suitable for all ages. The Albufera Natural Park, where you can find one of the largest lakes in Europe where to enjoy local birds. Speaking of parks, we can not forget the Terra Mítica park, a theme park set in the ancient civilisations, with attractions for all ages and a multitude of shows.
There are many other incredible places to visit: castles like those of Peñíscola, Guadalest, Villena, Benisanó or Morella. Terra Natura, Mundomar, the Oceanographic, or Biopark, a different concept zoo. The City of Arts and Sciences, with the Prince Felipe Museum where you can learn enjoying and enjoy learning.
