Benassal is home to many sights that are steeped in history, such as this tower that has been sitting in the landscape for a number of centuries.

Torre del Bulc is one of many sights to see in Benassal, a small village of the Alt Maestrat that is best known for its mineral waters and wellness experiences. Situated close to the road leading to Villafranca del Cid, Torre del Bulc is a tower dating back to the 17th century that is attached to a country property.

The tower is not the only defence and vigilance structure in Benassal: a stone’s throw away sits Torre Nabás, also known as Torre de Pere Joan. Torre del Bulc is a structure with a square plan, built using stone masonry, and with corners reinforced with stone blocks, elements that were commonly used with this type of construction technique.

Torre del Bulc has been restored and can be visited so you can gaze at its defence structures and strong walls.
