Nearly 2.500 metres of wall were used to defend the population. Nowadays, access to Morella is through several of the six, former doors in the wall, which has a total of fourteen towers. The castle sits on an impressive 1.000 metre high rocky mass. The Iberian, Roman and Arabic cultures have each left their mark on the fortress.
