The old prison is a space with great heritage and historical value. It was built next to the wall with which Oropesa was fortified in the 17th century with the aim of protecting itself from the continuous attacks suffered by Oropesa as it was located on a strategic mound between the Mediterranean Sea and the road of terrestrial communication.
