On the 29 May, Villafranca del Cid is hosting Festividad de la Pascua del Llosar, a festivity celebrating the village’s patron saint. The event starts in the morning at Santa María Magdalena parish church. There will be mass followed by a procession to La Virgen del Llosar chapel. Once at the chapel, there will be a solemn Mass in honour of the patron saint of this part of the province of Castellón. The town choir will take part in the mass and after, it’s time for the traditional refreshment of sheep milk and typical pastries. Don’t miss the performances by Villafranca del Cid’s Rondalla and Dance Group – they’re a joy to see. This is a long-standing tradition that you won’t want to miss.
