The bonfires in honour of the Patron Saint, the Mass service and the "novenas nocturnas" are the most distinguished religious acts from the festivities in honour of San Francisco de Paula. To remember the good nature of the Saint, who used to serve soup to the hungry poor, the inhabitants cook in cauldrons, over a wood-fire, a broth that is served out between the attendees on Friday and the festive Sunday.
