All you have never seen by Miro, in the IVAM
All you have never seen by Miro, in the IVAM
"Joan Miró: Order and Disorder", the great show of the season at the Institut Valencià d'Art Modern (IVAM).
Until 17th June, you have the opportunity to discover what you've never seen from one of the most influential contemporary artists of the 20th century. For the first time ever, the IVAM will display the work of Joan Miró. A unique exhibition displaying pieces never shown before, belonging to private collections.
In addition, there will be on display works from museums such as the Reina Sofia and the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, the MACBA, Es Baluard, the Fundació Joan Miró and the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam. Close to 200 pieces that reflect the most critical spirit of the author and characterize all his work. An undisciplined look towards culture, art and politics.
What type of work will you see? The whole of Miró’s universe! Paintings, sculptures, ceramics, prints, posters and unique pieces created as decors for theatre performances. You cannot miss the heterodox, conflictive and undisciplined look that is coming for the first time to the rooms of the IVAM in Valencia.
Make the most of your visit to the IVAM to discover Valencia. Wander along the riverbed of the river Turia in an outdoor walk through the lung of the city. Walking or biking… Without a doubt, the perfect place for a family day where children will enjoy the original Gulliver Park. And, if you are an animal lover, Bioparc is waiting for you! A zoo that will surprise you with its natural spaces and the care for the animals. We'll see you in Valencia!
