Do you know where the world's oldest marathon is held?
Elche is preparing to celebrate, once again, the 46th International Half Marathon City of Elche "Mediterranean Oasis". The oldest in the world, which, since 1977, has been a compulsory meeting in the annual calendar of half marathons.
A fast circuit that runs through most of the neighbourhoods of the city and covers a large part of El Palmeral, declared in year 2000 a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
El Palmeral de Elche will be the scenario where participants will find the finish line. Without a doubt, a privileged and unique setting in the world. A spectacular place that makes this sporting event even more special.
If you are a runner and don't miss any meeting, join us! On Sunday 8th April at 10 hours in Elche, you have an historic appointment with Athletics. In addition, the city awaits us all to accompany and encourage the participants in the event.
