Flavour and tradition in the 25th Muestra de Embutido Artesano de Requena (Requena Artisan Cold Cut Sampler)
The best artisan cold cut in the province of Valencia awaits us the second weekend of February at the 25th Requena Artisan Cold Cut Sampler.
We're going to a fair, and not just any fair! The 25th Requena Quality and Artisan Cold Cut Sampler is here. In addition to enjoying the artisan products at the Cold Cut Fair, the Town Hall of Requena is organising entertainment activities for all kinds of audiences: workshops for kids, fair attractions, a small Artisan product market, folkloric performances, etc.
Information to bear in mind: This year, the tasting ticket at the Requena Cold Cut Sampler will cost 8 euros on Friday, and 10 euros during the weekend, on Saturday and Sunday.
This ticket includes four cold cut tastings, two glasses of wine, tasting a typical dish prepared by the Housewives Association, bread, a bottle of water and a ticket to visit the museum or monument.
Additionally, people who place their reservation early or who go to the Sampler in train or AVE will receive free entry to three of the museums or monuments available in Requena with the purchase of their ticket. They will also receive a 10% discount on purchases made at the Sampler's butcheries. Bon Appetit!
Requena is in the westernmost part of the Region of Valencia. One of the largest in Spain, its municipality spans 814 km2, and is 692 metres above sea level, on average. This fortified border city, where Castile’s border customs were established, made Requena a strategic enclave, with a remarkable uptick in trade throughout the Middle Ages.
