Markets, activities for the whole family and even a submarine Nativity! to enjoy Christmas in Valencia
The Christmas spirit takes over every corner. Valencia is full of markets, fairs and activities for adults and children to enjoy this enchanted time.
Christmas traditions are here! And in the province of Valencia they know how to make the most of them. Throughout the city there are street markets and fairs that make our path to Christmas shorter. Which one do you like best?
In the City of Arts and Sciences, they are already setting up their handcrafted Christmas market, which will remain in operation until January 6th. There will be food trucks, a solidary corner with the presence of several ONG's, Christmas photocall and an impressive Nativity with more than 50 figurines elaborated by master craftsmen. The kids will also enjoy a miniature Christmas Village.
In the downtown area of the city of València they are not far behind. Take the family and come to the Christmas Craft Fair in the Plaza de la Reina or the Tapinery Market with its HoHoHo! Mercat de Nadal, it opens on the 20th, as well as the Mostra de Artesanía, located in the Mercado de Colón.
A submarine Nativity scene in Anna
In the town of Anna, they have a very special Christmas tradition. Every year they set up their Nativity scene but they do it under the water! Lake Anna serves as the stage for this peculiar assembly, which this year will be held on December 22nd. Professional divers dive into the fresh waters to prepare the Nativity with all its figurines and it can be visited both at night and during the day as it has special lighting for the occasion. Do not miss it!
