Ruta de Contacontes, a family event in L'Alcoià and El Comtat
Hop from destination to destination in two counties to hear local legends and stories told out loud. The perfect event for all the family.
The 8th edition of Ruta de Contacontes in L’Alcoià and El Comtat is back with a great storytelling programme that all the family will love. The event is taking place in fourteen towns and villages, namely Millena, Alfafara, Benimarfull, Gorga, Beniarrés, Benasau, Alcoleja, Penàguila, Agres – a great base for exploring the scenery of Sierra de Mariola – L’Alqueria d’Asnar, Muro de Alcoy, Banyeres de Mariola, Cocentaina and Alcoy.
With events running until October, Ruta de Contacontes is the perfect way to soak up some culture with your children. This is the perfect opportunity for you to hear stories, mysteries and legends from the counties and get to know more about this part of the Region of Valencia.
You can listen to these quintessentially Valencian stories told out loud in plazas, areas of natural beauty, old wash houses and fountains, palaces and other sights of interest in the towns and villages mentioned above.
Ruta de Contacontes is a free event and will introduce you to artists including Gran Jordiet, Eva Andújar, Almudena Francés, Carles Llinares, Lorena Comín, Jordi Carbonell, Sílvia Colomer and Lluís Abad. The storytellers’ performances will bring a whole new meaning to this part of the province of Alicante. It really is the perfect activity for a family getaway. Don't miss it.
