The percussion, dance and fire group “Bestiari deBotafocs” celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2019 by encouraging parties and events of all types and origins. In tribute to these two decades of experience, La Marina del Grao Cultural Center in Castellón takes the most outstanding elements of the group to the exhibition.

The Cultural Center La Marina, located in the Grao de Castellón, hosts an extraordinary exhibition tinged with colour, happiness, fire and musicality. The show of “El Bestiari de Botafocs d'aniversari” is a display of pieces and photographs that summarizes the trajectory of the music and percussion group “Botafocs”, born in Castellón in 1989. The group came from a small group of people from Elcano del Grau Public School (Castellón), and it has grown over time to become today a festive congregation recognized beyond the Valencian territory.

You can visit the exhibition from June 17 until July 5. Images, objects, drawings ... A whole series of pieces illustrate the 20 years of growth since this great percussion group emerged to make dance thousands of people in the Region of Valencia and its surroundings. The greatest of the exhibition, however, will happen in the “bestiari”. This name recalls the many animals that the “Botafocs” carry behind to add colour and diversity to the celebration from town to town. Lions, fish and even lion-turtles or fire-breathing dragons are some of the beasts that accompany the musicians and pyrotechnicians to their hundreds of performances.

The "Bestiari de “Botafocs”is formed by more than a dozen animals, in addition to the four “dimonis” (demons) which are in keeping with the fire shows. They give spirit to the production, come and know them all!

You can visit the exhibition at the Cultural Center of the Marina, a multi-functional centre where you can continuously enjoy activities, presentations and all kinds of cultural proposals.
