Dining in a historical and artistic place such as a 16th-century monastery is a dream that La Casa dels Capellans comes true. Celebrate your next important date with the best of Mediterranean cuisine in a fantastic location.

What five centuries ago was a monastery located in the middle of nature has now become the ideal restaurant to commemorate a special day or simply savour the Mediterranean delicacies in the heart of a convent. The Royal Sanctuary Virgen Fuente de la Salud, in Traiguera, houses among its historic walls the restaurant La Casa dels Capellans, where the ideal pairing is always with dishes and views.

The restaurant is divided into spacious and stately rooms, surrounded on the outside by landscaped areas suitable for celebrating any type of event, from a beautiful wedding to a dinner or business meeting. In any case, you will always enjoy exquisite gastronomic specialities.

The menu is based on Mediterranean products. The magret of grilled duck with truffled and crunchy Parmentier of Vera bread, the Marcona almond soup from La Fonda or the leg of lamb, are just some of their specialities. They also offer delights of the Mediterranean Sea and products of the garden, such as a fig-based dessert with cream cheese and almond tile with a citrus aroma. Above all, we highlight the spring menu and the “calçots” season, from November to April.

Restaurante Casa dels Capellans

The town of Traiguera (Castellón) is located in the heart of the Maestrazgo, on the Via Augusta. It keeps a rich patrimonial legacy like the Capella de Sant Jaume or the Portalet and the medieval walls. On the other hand, its thousand-year-old olive trees turn the town into an Olive Oil capital. In short, you will not regret the visit!
