During the second fortnight of August, the festivities in honour of “Nuestra Señora de la Asunción” take place, in which music plays a principal role as essential component. The cavalcade, “con dos perros y seis gatas”(with two dogs and six cats), is one of the out-standing acts, though the religious services also maintain high levels of participation. The Moors and Christians parades give colour to the celebrations.
