They say that the night of San Juan is magical, and in Cullera, every 23rd of June, at midnight, thousands of people gather on our beaches to celebrate it. That night becomes one of the busiest of the year, the so-called night of fire, around which the ritual of the seven waves is performed: it consists of jumping them, writing a wish on a piece of paper and burning it in the bonfire.

In Cullera, on the feast of San Juan, the "plantà" of a bonfire is also held, with various activities such as popular dances, mascletà, firework displays, the distribution of lemon-water and "coca de llimonà" (lemon sponge cake). A night to remember and a night when wishes come true.
