Celebrated in honour of San Roque. The main event of the fiesta is the pilgrimage that since time immemorial has been celebrated on this day. It begins at 7 o' clock in the morning when the members of the San Roque Commission, in charge of organising the fiesta, and some townsfolk bear the Saint on their shoulders along the old way that leads up to the mound where his Shrine is to be found, accompanied by the people of the town and a musical band. Afterwards an open-air mass is held on the esplanade of the shrine followed by a popular breakfast to which all those gathered are invited. The acts celebrated at the shrine are brought to a close by a mascletà (string of firecrackers) and later on in the town the fiesta continues with performances given by orchestras.
