Taking advantage of the regular course of the River Sot, its waters have been employed for different uses, as is the case of the four existing mills; that of Manuel Zahonero, El Molino del Conde (The Count's Mill), that of the Pocillo and El Molino del Tío Lucero (Uncle Lucero's Mill).

The Pocillo Mill is to be found on the outskirts next to the River Sot. It is an old grain mill, powered by water since the end of the 19th century. The water for its functioning was drawn through a parallel stream, at the access path, which ended in a pool for regulating the water volume at the back part of the building. On the inside there still remain pieces of the old machinery, gear teeth and a cylindrical stone.

The Tío Lucero Mill is to be found in the far south-eastern extreme of the town next to the right bank of the river. Its origins go back to the end of the 19th century. It was an old grain mill powered by water drawn from the course of the River Sot. During the beginning of the 20th century it was powered by a dynamo in order to produce enough electric energy to supply just the public lighting. It was in 1949 that it was transformed into a wheat and corn mill after the Electric Co-operative of Sot de Chera was set up, which would supply the electricity for the Mine of Caolín de Dos Hermanas and Sot de Chera. It is currently private property.

El Molino de Las Fuentes is situated close to the west of the town centre following the local road in the direction of Chera, at about two kilometres, taking the forest track that leads to a spot known as Las Fuentes (The Springs). It pertains to the popular or traditional architecture of the end of the 19th century. It is an old water-powered grain mill. It was a two storey building although it is currently in a state of ruins. The water for its functioning came from a stream at the back which ended in a regulation pool, which one can reach by going along the access path after going up a little slope. On the inside there still remain few pieces of the old machinery although the cylindrical piece is still there.
