The tradition of "fallas" in Sueca is deeply rooted in the popular culture of the place, as it is the second town of the Valencia Region that drew up, planted and burned one of these traditional monuments. Currently, there are 16 festive committees, from all over the town, El Perello and the area known as the Mareny of Barraquetes, which are the lifeblood of the Josephine parties. So, when the day of Saint Joseph comes closer, the festive committees plant monuments that are admired by many visitors. The night of the 'crema' where the fire ends with the effigies, is lived in Sueca with bittersweet sadness that connects the end of a cycle, with the joy and enthusiasm of starting the preparation of the monument for next year.
