The Sierra Espadán Natural Park has the best preserved cork oak forests in the whole of the Spanish Mediterranean area. It is what ecologists call Mediterranean forest, one of the world's most culturally and naturally diverse ecosystems. Right in the heart of the natural park lies the town of Aín, where we will meet to start our route to Masía de la Mosquera, the former centre of the Valencian cork industry, surrounded by stunning scenery.
