Throughout this tour, we will discover the Muslim legacy of Valencia.
We’ll visit the Carmen Museum to see the remains of an ancient villa from the Islamic period. We will walk along part of the remains of the 11th century city wall. At the Almoina Museum we will discover the remains of the old Alcázar, the Muslim palace that once dominated the city. Along the way, we’ll dive into stories of their daily life, explore their farming techniques, and learn about the origins of enduring customs - including the famous Water Tribunal. Discover how the Islamic era helped shape Valencia’s identity through its traditions, architecture and culture.
