What to do in Vallés

Vallés is a small town with old traditional streets, mostly lined with one- and two-storey houses. During your walk, be sure to spend some time at San Juan Bautista Parish Church, built in the 18th century. Afterwards, visit the Sanz de Vallés Palace, probably Vallés’ most emblematic building.

This palace was built in the Valencian Gothic style in the 15th century and is an integral part of the town's history. It has an elegant façade, including some Renaissance details. Then head on over to the public washing area!

To keep discovering what to see in Vallés, we recommend putting on some comfortable shoes and taking a walk towards the banks of the River Canyoles to breathe in the fresh air. Or why not sign up for an enjoyable activity? This is a trail that connects this town to others in the same region, known as the Costera de Ranes route.

This route passes through these villages, which are closely linked to irrigation and the old Arrayanes irrigation channel, where, as well as the irrigation channels themselves, you will see a landscape dotted with partidores (water dividers), mills, washing places and farmhouses.

The circular route starts in Xàtiva and passes through Vallés, Torrella, Cerdá, Llanera de Ranes, Rotglà i Corbera and La Granja de la Costera before returning to its starting point. Whether you go on foot or by bike, you're sure to have a fabulous time! It's just over 12 km and not difficult at all. Make a note of this activity that passes through Vallés!
