On the 11, 16 and 17 February Picassent is celebrating Sant Antoni, the patron saint of animals. Sant Antoni Festival has a long history in Picassent, a town with strong ties with the land and animals. Hundreds of locals come to the Chapel and Plaza del Ayuntamiento to celebrate the occasion. Diversity, tradition and participation define the festivities. The Entrada del Pi will take place on the 11, the Sant Antoni bonfire will be on the 16 and the blessing of the animals – a popular events where you will see all sorts of pets and horse-drawn carriages from many different parts of the Region of Valencia – will be on the 17.
