The Moors and Christians Festival in Elda is from the 1 until 5 June in honour of San Antón. It’s one of the most symbolic festivities in the town, with heaps of activities in which different groups get involved and show off their best costumes. Some of the most anticipated acts include the marching bands that parade down the streets on the 1 June, and the carrying of the San Antón statue to the Santa Ana temple the day after. The dramatic procession Triunfal Entrada Cristiana floods the town’s streets on Saturday 3 and on Sunday 4 it’s time for Majestuosa Entrada Mora. Festivities end on Monday with a procession in honour of San Antón.
