What to do in Vinaròs in 2 days: city center and southern beaches

A gentle stroll through the center will introduce you to all kinds of historic monuments, notably La Asunción de María parish church. Keep an eye out for the gorgeous ceramic tiles adorning the facades.

While you’re strolling around, be sure to check out the City Hall, a 15th-century Gothic marvel, as well as the Renaissance-style Membrillera house and the modernist facades of the Giner and Sendra houses.

El Mercado Municipal tiene que estar en tu lista, junto con la Antigua Iglesia Parroquial de San Agustín Obispo, actual Auditorio Municipal. ¡Te va a sorprender la diversidad y riqueza del patrimonio de Vinaròs!

The Municipal Market is an absolute must, as is the old San Agustín Obispo parish church, which is now a municipal auditorium. Trust us: the richness and diversity of Vinaròs’ heritage will really surprise you!

Once you’ve soaked up all these timeless treasures, it’s time for some relaxation: head over to the Port of Vinaròs and explore the beaches of the city’s south-east, starting with El Clot. Here you’ll find a lively promenade, where you can walk or cycle to the beaches of Fora del Forat, Pinets-Fondo de Bola or Les Salines, or the secluded Puntal cove.

Things to do in Vinaròs in 2 days: The northern beaches and historic sites

On day 2 of your two-day Vinaròs tour, we’d recommend heading north to discover more of the city’s perfect playas, with some blissful hiking thrown in.

A short stroll up the coast will take you to the beaches of El Fortí, El Pinar, Deveses and El Triador, and the cove of La Foradada. And then there’s the natural area of Sòl de Riu, a stretch of wild coast to take your breath away. Nearby, you’ll find the wetlands at the mouth of the Cenia river—keep your eyes peeled for interesting bird species!

To wrap up, we’d suggest a visit to the Iberian settlement of Puig de la Misericordia, a fascinating archaeological site that takes you right back to Vinaròs’ earliest days. And if you have time, you can take a walk through La Virgen de la Misericordia sanctuary and the Saint Sebastian chapel, an inspiring spot with some breathtaking views

Sounds like a lot for two days, right? Well that’s the lovely thing about Vinaròs: everything is so close, that you get to do it all. Golden sands, Gothic architecture, inspiring landscapes… it’s all here, waiting for you to fall in love.
