Held every Maundy Thursday and Good Friday in Moncada, Misterio de la Pasión, Mystery Passion Play, is the perfect excuse to visit this part of the province of Valencia and immerse yourself in its ancien traditions.

The performance involves about 100 people who dedicate a lot of time preparing costumes and rehearsing scenes.

You'll be treated to theatrical performances of significant religious events linked to Holy Week, such as the birth of Jesus, Judas’ betrayal and the Last Supper. Then, on Friday, the theatre spills out onto the town's streets for the Crucifixion scene. Be moved by these powerful performances and spend Easter soaking up Valencian culture.
