Fiestas Gordas de Titaguas, a destination located in Los Serranos in inland province of Valencia, is a tradition-filled event that is held every seven years. Discover more and come along to enjoy the festivities whenever you have the opportunity.

Fiestas Gordas de Titaguas is the backdrop to one of the Region of Valencia’s most quintessential traditions, La Mojiganga. Dating back centuries, this acrobatic dance sees the performers create towers and human figures with their bodies.

The 32 dancers are accompanied by 6 angelicos in the performance. La Mojiganga is divided into two parts, one of which is religious in nature. In this part, the performers create well-known shapes like El Altar Mayor, El Altar Movible, Las Andas, La Eme and El Pilón. In the second part, the figures are related to everyday life and are entitled Los Oficios, Batán, Rueda de Molino, among others.

Music is a defining feature of Fiestas Gordas and the dancers – acrobats – create striking figures to the sound of the drum and the clarinet. Some pieces are accompanied by voice. This is a truly unique show that is marked by tradition. So how about it? Fancy being at Fiestas Gordas de Titaguas the next time it comes around?
