As you stroll through the streets of Aigües, you will soon come across a place of worship that is close to the local community’s hearts. San Francisco de Asís church is a Baroque building that is devoted to Saint Francis of Assisi.

Inside, you will be taken aback by the beauty of the altarpiece and painting, which was created by the painter and architect Antonio de Villanueva.

Another of the elements that defines the church is its modern belltower. The original was destroyed during the Spanish Civil War and it was rebuilt at a later date.
