What are you looking at?
You are looking at Playa de la Fossa, one of the most emblematic beaches in Calpe. Even more symbolic is the Peñón de Ifach, which you can see in the background of the webcam, imposing and majestic over the landscape. La Fossa beach is quiet and familiar and welcomes us with its fine sand and crystal clear waters. It has a promenade lined with restaurants, shops and ice-cream parlours; it is the perfect place to spend a relaxing day in the sun.
What can you do near Calpe?
Calpe is a coastal town with lots of things to do and places to discover. One of its main attractions is, of course, the immense variety of beaches and coves. A visit to the Peñón de Ifach is a must as it is one of the most popular natural areas in the Mediterranean; divers, climbers and hikers enjoy the rich environment that the rock offers. In the old town of Calpe, you will come across monuments such as the remains of the wall, the Torreó de la Peça or the Church of Nuestra Señora de las Nieves. Finally, don't miss out on its gastronomy and try a delicious arròs del senyoret.
