You'll be amazed by the mix of traditional streets, avant-garde murals and the nature that surrounds them.
Festival in Fanzara: MIAU 2025
The MIAU in Fanzara is launching a call for entries to fill the walls and façades of the town with large-scale paintings. These murals will be the exhibits, and the streets will be the rooms and corridors of a constantly growing, ever-changing museum that explores different techniques and styles.
This year, Fanzara’s MIAU museum invites participants to create their works from 3 to 6 July. The town will no doubt be completely transformed! We suggest you take a break to see the development or the final result during a visit to this town in the region of El Alto Mijares in Castellón.
Strolling through its quiet, sunny streets becomes an artistic, cultural experience, with works that invite reflection. And if you are a photography enthusiast, you will get some extraordinary shots!
Fanzara and the MIAU can be part of a delightful day out, during which you can also discover the landscape surrounding the town. Remember to come prepared for a walk in the mountains, where you can visit the ruins of Fanzara Castle. And don't forget your swimsuit, as the Mijares River has a great swimming area in Fanzara! Why not add this trip into nature, culture and the arts to your diary?
