Many events with shows of music, theater, dance and events for the whole family comprise the cultural program for the next four months September, October, November and December. The Music in the Park season, which began in the summer, concludes in September, bringing classical music to various open-air venues. In the musical line, we can enjoy a wide variety of styles, ranging from flamenco, choral music, music bands, etc. Highlights include the concerts of the Torrevieja's City Choral Gathering, the Rock Against Cancer Festival, the Flamenco and Salt season, the Jazz Fridays at the Palace season, the Ara Malikian concert, tributes to Sabina, the Beatles, and Michael Jackson, the 1950s-inspired musical Cinderella, the Sette Voci concert, and the Miguel Lago concert, and in the humorous genre the show of the Morancos brothers and David Navarro, as well as the dance with Nacho Duato, the theater genre with Teatro para Todos series, the Street Theater series, both for the whole family and Jorge Luengo's magic show complete the late summer, autumn and winter program. Highlights for this period include two plays Don Juan Tenorio and Luces de Bohemia. We close the year with the ballet Swan Lake.
September begins with the 10th Torrevieja Audiovisual Festival, featuring short film screenings. Mid-month, a touch of humor with a performance by Los Morancos and their Bis a Bis, and a new Street Theater Series will delight the whole family. A vibrant and authentic experience will be offered by the Rock Against Cancer festival, featuring hits from internationally renowned artists and bands performed by Europe's best tribute groups. That same weekend, another Flamenco and Salt series begins, a show that highlights Andalusian culture and the passion for flamenco music and dance, with the Torrevieja Salt Flats as the backdrop for a magical evening held in the gardens of the Auditorium. For classical music lovers, the Music in the Park series offers an open-air concert that will allow them to enjoy the emotion of music in a natural setting on September 6th and 28th.
In October, a tribute to The Beatles will relive the band's best years, covering virtually their entire repertoire, including both their greatest hits and their most unusual releases. A dramatized tour is a journey back in time to discover the protagonists of our history, recommended for families. Another family-friendly activity is the "Salpa Fuera con Al otro lado" (Get Out with the On the other Side) series, where fun stories hidden in the everyday life of our streets will be revealed one Saturday afternoon a month. Film lovers can enjoy the second edition of the Sol Film Festival, an international film festival with short films presented by their directors and actors, as well as national and international films with subtitles. In mid-October, Nacho Duato and his new company, made up of dancers from around the world, will return to Spain to share their creations and reach a wider and more diverse audience. The Jazz series, held every Friday will offer a high-quality musical experience for fans and new audiences, presenting a variety of jazz styles. The show "500 Nights in Sabina's Veins" is a tribute to the maestro, exploring his career and paying homage to his music. We conclude the month with José Zorrilla's Don Juan Tenorio.
November is full of events, starting with the Michael Jackson tribute show "He's Back," which showcases the magic of the King of Pop, recreating every note and movement and transporting fans to the most iconic moments of his career. Comedian David Navarro will make us laugh, violinist Ara Malikian will transform the way we think about classical music, incorporating sounds from rock, Arabic, and Latin music, among others. Another concert from the Flamenco y Sal series will transport us to the depths of the passion and joy of flamenco, with the Torrevieja Salt Flats as the backdrop for a magical evening held in the gardens of the Auditorium. A children's musical titled "Maui Island" will delight the whole family, and the "Teatro para Todos" series is another recommended activity for the whole family. Music lovers can enjoy several concerts in honor of Saint Cecilia, and jazz can be enjoyed on two Fridays.
December begins its programming with a children's event, "Lily, a Tale of Torrevieja." Flamenco will be present with the Flamenco y Sal series, showcasing the deepest passion and joy of Andalusian art. Theater lovers can enjoy the play Luces de Bohemia (Bohemian Lights) and also other children's and cultural activities designed to entertain people of all ages and tastes. The month concludes with the ballet "Swan Lake" for dance lovers.
